BEJING, CHINA - According to the confession, Du Xiurong, a Chinese woman from Shibei Villiage in Sichuan province, has sold four of his children to pay two eldest.

Four children, he had to pay about $ 1,500.
"I have no other choice. If I'm not blind, I would not do that," he told reporters. "I do not sell them out, but give them a go. My only contain a small fee. I love the baby, if I could, I would take them. But I can not really support them. I then found a good family for adopt them."
He added, "I gave the baby to families who are unable to bear children. They want a baby and I have helped them. Wealthy people give money for her daughter's wedding. Middle-class people get money for her daughter's wedding, and the people poor sell their sons and daughters."
Xiurong was arrested and detained in January to sell his children but freed because of his disability. He said he was blinded in an accident when she was five years old.
China also has a one-child policy, so Xiurong was forced to hide her pregnancy to avoid arrest.

How people, especially children who were treated in China is a deep issue. China's forced abortion on children and steep fines parents who have more than one child. This forces people to live in fear, and take drastic measures if they are poor, which could include infants and children selling. Despite claims Xiurong, many children end up in the hands of human traffickers.
